Here's the Gist

As a Power Design Experience and Modeling Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing on a

strategy that improve the experience for customers designing with Wolfspeed's Silicon Carbide

(SiC). The Power Design Experience and Modeling Manager will be responsible for setting the direction of our

customer facing design tool suite including simulation and modeling software, models, online user

forums and other online tools to enable customers to effectively select and apply SiC power devices.

The Day-to-Day

• Develop strategies and tools that enhance the customer journey including development of product selection tools, product evaluation tools and support tools.
• Develop and expand online simulation tools for evaluation of various power electronic topologies and systems
• Develop and enhance system simulation capabilities including thermal, passive components and supporting ICs
• Contribute to the development of LTSpice device subcircuit models for SiC MOSFETs and diodes to accurately simulate dynamic behavior
• Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training
• Assist customer design engineers with simulations to successfully incorporate Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide power components in their products
• Use modeling and simulation techniques to provide design improvement opportunities to internal product development groups

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
• 7+ years of industrial experience in power electronics and/or modeling of power components
• Understanding of power circuit topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC)
• Hands-on experience in a power electronics lab setting using test equipment to analyze switching behavior
• Experience in developing detailed simulations for power electronics
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Willing to travel domestically and overseas - 5%
