Your Role:

As the Power Electronics Design Release Engineer in powertrain department, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to ensure a successful product launch.

  • Design release responsible for all the power electronics components in Powertrain, including DCDC, OBC and other HV electronics components
  • Develop the component level requirement based on system level requirement for all the power electronics components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure the power electronics components fit in the vehicle, and ensure the functionality meet the requirement
  • Understand all technical and regulatory requirements for the Power Electronics components
  • Ensure all the DVP and DFMEA are properly signed off for the components SOP
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Test, Service, etc.) to ensure final product complies with all company objectives
  • Manage budget and schedule of components to ensure compliance to overall company goals
  • Understand the internal workings of the power electronics components
  • Support troubleshooting during the test and validation phase

Basically, you’ll ensure that all the HV power electronics components work flawlessly in the vehicle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in power electronics in powertrain
  • Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for power electronics design and development
  • Top-notch technical, communication and analytical abilities
  • Strong familiarity with power electronics hardware architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise with managing project for timely, logical and concise work products
  • A diverse skillset including electrical board design, software development life cycles
  • A wide range of experience with CAN networks, LIN networks, Ethernet networks
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
  • A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
  • A genuine fascination for the Electric Mobility field and a commitment to global change
  • A true sense of determination… and hopefully a sense of humor

Annual Salary Range:

$113,000 - $141,000, plus benefits and incentive plans
