Power Engineer

Thanks for your interest in Oklo!  We are searching for a Power Engineer to join our engineering team. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Position Description

Power Engineers at Oklo are responsible for the design, engineering analyses, modeling and simulation, systems engineering, and specifications development for various configurations of power systems used in Oklo’s power plants.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Design power systems, including power distribution, backup power, and emergency power systems

• Develop plans and specifications for power systems

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that power systems meet client requirements and operate efficiently

• Perform power system calculations and analyses

• Maintain knowledge of current power system technologies and trends

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes

We are looking for a Power Engineer that is:

• Experienced in power engineering, power generations, and/or systems engineering

• An excellent writer who can write in a modern active voice, so make your cover letter compelling and write it well!

• Able to communicate technical content and results verbally

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or nuclear engineering

• Experience in power system design and implementation (2+ years)

• Familiarity with safety regulations and codes, such as NRC, FERC, NERC, NEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.
