Job description

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated, energetic Field Service Power Generation technician to join our team at the Lethbridge Cummins location.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.
  • Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Red seal certification Heavy duty mechanics is mandatory.
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • A copy of your red seal certification or trade's diploma is required for this position.
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • This role will can be subjected to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
