The silicon valley design center is seeking a motivated, experienced Power IC design intern to provide support to our Multi-Market Power BU located at ADI's San Jose, CA office. The successful candidate will work with a global team of innovators, collaborating with internal technology groups and external technology vendors to help to develop new industry-leading mixed-signal IC products with sustainability impact.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Transistor-level circuit design and simulation
• Understanding of device-level operation and physics
• System and block level simulation
• Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory
• Interface with test, product and applications engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release

Minimum qualifications

• MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 2+ years of analog circuit design experience
• Good understanding of semiconductor device physics
• Strong technical and analytical background with good problem-solving skills
• Strong team worker within multi-discipline, multi-cultural and multi-site environments
• Good understanding of analog and mixed-signal design flow and top-down development methodology

Preferred qualifications

• Power management design experience, especially switching DC-DC converters
• Analog behavioral modeling experience
