Your Team's Impact:

Our business is to deliver critical, timely analysis of fundamental information to our client base of financial institutions, power developers, utilities and other end users through thoughtful products and customized analytics. BTU Analytics innovates and analyzes what matters to the market now and in the future. Team members are given the opportunity to explore the energy industry from the unique perspective of advising the most influential participants in the market.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a highly motivated team that develops, maintains, and analyzes power market data sets that drive the decisions of FactSet clients.
• Build expanding coverage of power markets including regulated and competitive markets.
• Understand how the energy transition and shifting political sentiment will affect the operations of existing power plants and development of new power plants.
• Refine existing offerings as well as developing new products to allow FactSet users to make better decisions about power market investments.
• Expand BTU's ongoing analysis of the power system while maintaining BTU Analytics' current power data sets.
• Coordinate multiple, interconnected projects to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with overall team objectives.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Power Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Mineral Economics, or related field of study
• 8 + years of experience working in an energy-related field, preferably power transmission
• Experience with power market modeling, working with large datasets, and with Federal and ISO websites and data sources
• Strong attention to detail, proactive nature, and ability to take ownership of tasks
• Customer service skills, a "client-first" mentality, and willingness to learn how our data and analysis are used by our clients
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to think critically in a high-pressured environment
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• SQL experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired Skills:

• Python experience
• Financial or economic knowledge/experience
• Ability to work on-site from an office in Lakewood, CO
• Proven ability to provide guidance, support and mentorship to team members

The budgeted amount range for this position in the State of CO is $104,000 - $130,000
