• Interface with marketing, apps, system engineers, power electronics engineers, electrical engineers, process engineers, and production engineers to develop power module products that meet electrical, mechanical, reliability, and cost requirements
• Ability to interpret customer and market requirements to actionable designs
• Perform design, development, and productization efforts for case and transfer-molded packages and power modules
• Assist in conducting experiments and acquiring data
• Perform thermal, mechanical, thermal-mechanical, and electrical simulations
• Multi physics experience a plus
• Must be excited to learn new design skills, modeling techniques, and software

What you need for success:

• Requires a 4-year degree. Applicants with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree will also be considered but not required. Some experience in industry, academia, or federal research laboratory will also be considered.
• Experience in NPI/NTI/NPD processes
• Experience in electronics CAD design and/or modeling
• Some knowledge in industry standard and/or next generation assembly packaging processes such as wire bonding, die/substrate attach, vacuum reflow soldering, encapsulation, molding, plating, etc.
• Some knowledge or experience designing with common packaging materials such as solders, ceramics, silicone gel, epoxies, polymers, etc.
• Some knowledge in Design of Experiments and data analysis
• Knowledge in CAD design and multi-physics simulation tools
• Experience in technical project planning and leadership
• Excellent communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, and presentation).
• Excellent team player

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

• NPI/NTI/NPD execution experience
• CAD experience: SolidWorks®, AutoCAD®, ProE, or Creo
• Some simulation experience: COMSOL Multiphysics®, Ansys®, or SolidWorks® Simulation
• Understanding of "back of the envelope" thermal, electrical, and mechanical calculations and design optimization
• Experience in power packaging design
• Some experience in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Experience with FMEA documentation
• Some knowledge in power module reliability and failure modes
• Some knowledge of power devices such as SiC MOSFETs, SiC Schottky Diodes, SiC TMOS, Si IGBTs, etc.
