Power Platform and M365/Azure Specialist

Position Overview

(Hybrid role in Reston, VA)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Platform and M365 Center of Excellence (CoE) Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance in effectively managing and optimizing Power Platform solutions and Microsoft 365 (M365) resources and assets for our client. You will help us establish and maintain a robust CoE framework, provide consultation on best practices for managing large numbers of Power Automate and App solutions, and collaborate with Enterprise IT to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Environment Management:
   
   • Assist in planning and consulting on how to effectively manage large numbers of Power Automate and App solutions within the organization.
   • Utilize experience with the Microsoft Center of Excellence (CoE) to establish best practices for environment management.
2. M365 and Azure Administration:
   
   • Provide expertise in understanding enterprise-level M365 tools and options.
   • Collaborate with teams to plan and manage OHR (Office of Human Resources) resources and assets within the NIH (National Institutes of Health) tenant.
   • Work with Enterprise IT at NIH to identify and implement optimal solutions for managing OHR content in M365.
3. Power Platform Expertise:
   
   • Guide the organization in adopting standards for managing a large number of apps and scaling up development.
4. Deliverables:
   
   • Lead the setup and documentation of the M365 Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
   • Provide continuous guidance on CoE use, ensuring ongoing optimization and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• Position is contingent upon passing the NIH Background Screening (to obtain US Public Trust)
• Strong experience working with and managing Environments in the Power Platform.
• Proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Center of Excellence (CoE) principles and practices, with a proven track record of implementing successful CoE strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of M365 and Azure administration, with a focus on enterprise-level tools and options.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, particularly within a U.S. Federal agency context.
• 3+ years of experience in Office 365 and Azure administration.
• Proven experience with Azure AD, including synchronization and SSO.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with citizen developers and Enterprise IT teams to achieve optimal solutions.
• Proven track record in guiding organizations to standards for managing large numbers of apps and scaling up development.
• Strong knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
• Excellent understanding of Federal agency IT policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, and Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
