Power Platform Developer
Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
- Help and guide our clients to effectively use the Microsoft Power Platform with best practices and methodologies
- Collaborate with other members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets
- Participate in client discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions, documentation, and the development of solutions
- Ability to understand and explain the business drivers that apply to a specific client's needs
- Experience in training others on Power Platform development and end users to utilize developed applications
- An interest in collaborating on the creation of intellectual property and knowledge sharing
- Work in an agile environment and participate in all agile ceremonies
- Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards and trends
- Strong verbal and written communications skills including application documentation experience
- Experience in mentoring other developers and team members in their technical development
Location and Travel Details
This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).
Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements
Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance.
Profile of Success
- Proven experience with at least one application development paradigm in the Power Platform (Canvas, Portals, Model-Driven) but also a familiarity with the others
- A deep understanding of automation with Power Automate
- An understanding of data modeling principles and how to choose the correct data storage approach for Power Platform development
- A desire to learn other Microsoft Cloud platforms like Azure to build holistic solutions
- An understanding of Power Platform specific languages like Power Fx but also familiar with programming principles from other languages like JavaScript
- Familiarity with Power Platform governance, administration, and DevOps
Desirable Skills
- Data Migration Experience Preferred
- Experience with establishing Power Platform Centers of Excellence (CoE) and the CoE Starter Kit
- Development experience with Power BI
- Significant programming experience in both traditional and front-end languages
