Power Quality Service Business Developer
Job Description
Basic Function: The Service Business developer has a primary focus on the HV Services for the company Power Quality and HV Components portfolio, which includes capacitor banks and filters in low, medium, and high voltage applications. This position combines both marketing and technical responsibilities. The primary objective is to grow the service business for this product group, driving market expansion and internal process.
Typical duties/responsibilities:
The role of a Power Quality and HV Components Business Developer involves a diverse set of responsibilities and requires a mix of technical knowledge, market insights, and leadership skills.
The Business Developer will be responsible for tracking and reporting on business performance to the operating unit, sharing results on sales progress, market trends, and overall business health. This role also requires building strong internal relationships with product teams.

Review and agree on a plan to develop the required technical skills for field service engineers.
The candidate will create and refine technical marketing materials to communicate the service value proposition for power quality and high-voltage components. This might involve collaborating with the marketing team to design brochures, presentations, and other promotional content that resonates with customers and industry stakeholders.
Client visits are frequent, as they help build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Supporting Front End Sales on customer visits, participate in trade shows, industry events, and technical boards is critical for networking, and showcasing the company's expertise.
The Business Developer must be able to work independently, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and initiative. This role requires someone who can work without constant supervision, and drive new initiatives.
Ultimately, the ideal candidate has a technical understanding of power quality and high-voltage components, paired with strong sales skills.
Complexity of Tasks:
This position requires understanding of electrical systems and power quality, along with strong sales skills. You need to work independently and confidently deliver presentations to customers and the internal team. Despite the role's focus on sales, technical expertise is essential for success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering (or similar).
- 2 years of proven experience with power quality or similar applications (drivers, energy storage).
- 3 Years of experience with technical sales.
- Alternatively, candidates with 5 years experience on drives or frequency converters may be considered
Differentiator:
- 4 + years of experience dealing with utilities and large industrial customers.
- Experience with High Voltage apparatus (69kV - 550kV) such as instrument transformers and disconnector switches.
- Experience as field Service or a technical role.
