Your Role and Responsibilities
The Solution Architect will collaborate with the client business partner and sellers to understand client requirements and conduct discovery activities to define and create services solutions to address client needs. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to influence clients. You are responsible for building a scope with activities and corresponding assumptions and estimating the level of effort. You will create the client-facing proposal content and the detailed work breakdown structure.
You will work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple projects with multiple sellers and clients.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IBM Power hardware product line IBM i AIX and Licensed Program Products (LPPs):
- PowerHA
- Power server migrations and OS upgrades
- VIOS
- PowerVM
- VM Recovery Manager
- PowerVS
- PowerVC
- Security (LDAP PowerSC RBAC SSO)
- Performance and capacity planning (Db2 for i SQL PEP 2.0)
- Very strong individual planning and project management skills
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter ability to learn independently
- Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environment at all levels of technical management and executives
- Understand technical requirements to craft work scopes work breakdown structures labor estimates and manage risk.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience working with IBM Partners IBM Sales and Client Teams.
