Power Systems Engineer

Eaton's Electrical Engineering & Services division is currently seeking a Power Systems Engineer!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,250 - $95,700 a year.

What you'll do:

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training. Eaton's Electrical Services & Systems team offers a comprehensive portfolio of services tailored for every stage of a power system's life cycle-whether it's design, build, or support. Our services integrate and optimize the elements of a power system to make sure it's aligned with business goals. We can help keep your power system safe, efficient, reliable, and up to date.

In this role, you will: • Perform Short-Circuit, LV/MV Protective Device Coordination, and Arc-Flash studies.• Perform field Power Quality Measurements.• Perform Harmonic Analysis and design electrical distribution systems, including modeling and mathematical calculations for Load Flow, Voltage Drop, Power Factor Correction, Fault, and Grounding analyses. • Perform field data collection to gather information on customer's existing electrical distribution equipment to complete a variety of power system studies. • Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency.• Run small to medium sized projects unassisted.• Provide customer training on Arc-flash and Electrical Safety.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• No relocation offered, candidates within 50-mile radius considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineer-in-Training
• Bachelor's Degree focused in power
