Job Description

Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour.

Shift: Nights

Hours: 8PM-4:30AM

Work Week: Sunday-Thursday

• Perform all engine repairs, excluding complete overhaul, of gas and diesel engines.
• Diagnosis and repair clutches on over the road vehicles and Farm Tractors.
• Suspension and steering repair and alignment, including springs, steering linkages and related components on vehicles and Ag equipment.
• Perform transmission repairs and overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning systems, 609 Certification.
• Perform electrical diagnostic checks and repairs.
• Diagnose/repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders and hoses.
• Perform all welding, soldering and fabrication.
• Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated mechanical experience repairing heavy duty trucks, trailers, and Agricultural equipment.
• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical systems, including reading wiring diagrams.
• Must have general knowledge of emission and aftertreatment systems.
• Must be able to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including hydrostatic drives.
• Must be able to solder and weld proficiently.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform repairs.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license with driving record that conforms to Foster Farms guidelines
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Must be able to communicate in English, which includes reading and writing and have legible penmanship
• Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to continuously be on feet throughout the shift
•  Must be able to bend over and squat
• Must be able to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed.
•  Must be able to perform all functions of preceding tech levels
• Must be able to progress to a higher tech level preferred
• Must perform to established time standards for commonly performed repairs
• Must adhere to Foster Farms and State Environmental regulations.
• Must be able to maintain a clean an orderly work area
• Must be able to use laptop computer as a diagnostic and repair tool.
• Must be able to submit and pass criminal background check
• Must Adhere to Foster Farms Lone Worker Policy
• Must be able to work adjusted shift and start times dependent upon company needs
• Must be willing and able to assist refer department as needed
