PowerBI Lead Engineer

• Leverage advanced database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial and operational analysis, and Business Intelligence reporting with Power BI in on-premises or cloud environments.
• Design and help develop high-performing, reliable, and scalable BI solutions
• Perform data analysis that will support and enhance analytics solutions
• communicate technical details to business and management personnel
• Author, oversee, and gain approval of design/architecture documents
• Work independently or lead a team to design and develop solutions
• Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members to successfully overcome technological challenges
• Leading and demonstrating emerging technologies and concepts to teams
• Understanding business operations, current database landscape, and pain points of the current state architecture. Understand the data model and define the future state data model required for the reporting.
• Collaborate with existing database and infrastructure architects.
• Identify the downstream usage of data post-migration. Define the migration strategy, architecture, and design.
• Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
• Working hands-on within data analytics, cloud, machine learning, data warehousing, data modeling, etc.
• Leveraging multiple tools and technologies including data management tools, ETL tools, data modeling tools, and BI tools. Expertise in schema design, developing data models (Dimensions and Facts), and a proven ability to work with complex data is required.
• Managed client expectations, met deadlines, and worked within an agile environment.
• Experience with a structured application development methodology, using any industry-standard Software Development Lifecycle, and agile methodologies.
• Should be familiar with and experienced in SQL and data modeling, visualization tools development, and administration.
• Has strong business acumen and technical knowledge to translate business requirement into powerful visuals and charts
• Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
• Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to talk and work with clients.
• Assist the business development team with pre-sales activities and RFPs

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 13-16 years of experience in handling End-End data ingestion including exposure to Visualization
• Good hands-on with SQL, PLSQL
• Experience with other BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, AWS Quicksight
• Good hands-on with Python scripting
• Good knowledge of Informatica or SSIS
• Advanced skills in Tableau or Power BI or Qlik

Good to have:

• Good hands-on with AWS Azure or GCP
• Nice to Have - Experience with Snowflake and EDWs like Teradata is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML
