Essential Functions

  • Maintain metrics dashboard with oversight
  • Provide intelligence on customer complaints, societal issues and reactive inquiries with guidance from senior team members
  • Assist in information gathering and developing biographies and source sheets
  • Support the Marketing team with analytics and customer insights
  • Draw reasonable and actionable conclusions from analytic summaries and recommend changes to existing policies and processes based on analytic conclusions with supervision
  • As directed, works with multiple departments such as Legal, Compliance, Contact Center, lines of business, Talent Management to gather information for reactive responses and decisioning
  • Draft proactive news releases and talking points
  • Contribute to assigned content gathering, generation, planning, posting, writing, content development, community management and paid digital media associated with PR, content and social media content production with supervision.
  • Plan and write posts for social media that supports press releases within scope of responsibility
  • Participate in low-risk, low reach brand reviews of co-marketing opportunities to ensure quality and consistency with the Commerce brand guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Intermediate understanding of PR/earned media best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to display sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, collaborate in a team environment, and interact directly with stakeholders
  • Strong professional demeanor
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3+ years related marketing, communications or PR experience required
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO and social media metrics preferred
