PR & Communications Manager (Japan)

• As the PR & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR plans to help increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our sales channels, and generate leads. You’ll be contributing to building and maintaining media relations with top lifestyle, fashion, entertainment media as well as supporting Japan in crafting different media angles and campaigns for outreach.

Job Description

• Develop and execute marketing communications strategic Global and Local PR plans that align with brand values and objectives
• Build relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other key stakeholders
• Create compelling content, including press releases, pitches, and thought leadership pieces
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed
• Create strategies to identify strategically important editors in different media verticals and build strong relationships with them, making sure they keep CASETiFY as a top of mind brand in the Japan lifestyle landscape
• Collaborate with other teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure messaging consistency across all channels
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our PR strategies are cutting-edge

Requirement

• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese and English
• 5+ years of experience in PR, preferably in a startup or tech environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and strategically
• Proven track record of successful PR campaigns
• Experience with media relations and influencer outreach
• Knowledge of social media platforms and their use in PR
• Strong understanding of the lifestyle and fashion media landscape, but with enough flexibility to pitch other media verticals when needed
• Ability to travel countrywide to conduct media deskside meetings, press dinners or launch events in order to maintain top media relationships
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
• Passion for Tech, Art, Culture, Lifestyle is a plus
