PR Manager

Cloud Imperium Games is looking for a versatile and talented PR Manager in Manchester, to help build and implement new PR Strategies for Star Citizen and Squadron 42 globally.

What does a PR Manager do at CIG? 

• Create and implement cohesive PR plans for all Star Citizen and Squadron 42 globally, ensuring alignment with marketing, community, and events strategies. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders to maximize coverage and awareness. 

• Plan and prepare executives for media engagements and speaking opportunities. 

• Lead brand reputation efforts, including proactive and reactive crisis management. 

• Manage the relationship with the PR agenc(ies) 

• Evaluate PR campaigns to optimize mainstream and digital coverage and implement new strategies for growth. 

• Manage press events, trade shows, and product demonstrations in partnership with global marketing teams. 

• Setting and executing on communications strategy globally. 

• Lead Internal Comms efforts for CIG employees, in partnership with leadership. 

What are we looking for from a PR Manager? 

• Substantial experience in PR/communications within the gaming industry; familiarity with CIG games is a plus. 

• Strong writing, planning, and leadership abilities, with a proactive and motivated approach to driving impactful PR campaigns. 

• Extensive organization and planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects.  

• Effective analytical, troubleshooting, decision making and problem-solving skills.  

• Must be proactive and highly motivated.
