As a Pre-Foreclosure Specialist you are responsible for reviewing the pre-foreclosure report, which contains required loan documentation needed in the mortgage foreclosure process. You will manage this report daily to determine eligible loan files. You will need to have strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, as you will be reviewing the accuracy of multiple files you receive and putting in requests for documents missing from those foreclosure files.

Job Description

The Pre-Foreclosure Specialist is responsible for processing demand letters, foreclosure referrals, valuation requests and ordering original documents on delinquent loans. This position collaborates with various lines of business within servicing.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will create pre-foreclosure files that include mortgage loan documents, copies of in-house servicing documents, copies of communications to the borrower, bankruptcy & SCRA searches, and other documentation.
• You will create and issue other required letters and notifications including manually created breach letters, state required letters, and letters/documentation required by the investors and insures as they relate to the pre-foreclosure process.
• You will order and review original loan documents for accuracy, such as for endorsements & record of filings/recordings needed for the foreclosure process.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree in Business or 2-4 years of experience in default servicing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Working knowledge of FHA, VA, conventional, FHLMC, FNMA and private investor guidelines regarding pre- foreclosure guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan documents.

• Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under strict timeframes.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and software.
