Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Type: Full Time

Work Location: Washington DC or Remote

In this role, you’ll be responsible for teaming with a sales executive and articulate the technical features, value proposition and differentiators of automation software solutions. You will work with service delivery teams to ensure our clients are successful with their deployments and receive exemplary customer service.

• Build trust and understanding with clients through a strong presence with senior leaders and the ability to facilitate discussions regarding their needs
• Interpret client needs and develop strong technical solutions aligned with business value
• Collaborate with sales team to qualify opportunities, formulate of sales strategies, and execute technical role in the sales process
• Respond to technical RFP's and or RFI's
• Conduct technical discovery sessions with clients
• Present and demonstrate the technical features and benefits of automation platforms via face-to-face customer interaction, webinars, trade shows, etc.
• Design and deliver proof of concepts
• Author internal and customer facing documentation

• 7+ years of experience as a sales engineer working with enterprise software sales teams and solutions OR 5+ years’ experience working in a technology consulting/implementation role
• Working knowledge of one or more software automation and service management solutions like Remedy, BMC, IBM Tivoli, IPSoft, ServiceNow, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, RightNow, EasyVista, or HP Orchestration solution.
• Working knowledge of DoD or IC Information Assurance processes and standards, including Risk Management Framework, STIGs, or NIST
• Working knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and/or TOGAF
• Hands-on experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL.
• Understanding of integration API’s
• Hands on experience working with Network Operations Software, Customer Care and IT Operations Center Software
• Knowledge of operating systems and administration tasks like MS Windows/Unix/Linux
• Expert knowledge networking, IT Systems, IT System Management, and Service Management technologies
• Ability to create, modify and understand shell scripts (UNIX/Linux) and batch files (Windows)

• Experience with the DoD or intelligence community
• Deep technical knowledge of software automation and/or service management framework and solid understanding of application stacks, multi-tier applications, etc.
• Ability to understand and write code (groovy preferred but, not required)
• Must at least one of the following certifications:
  • MS Azure Solutions Architect Professional
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional
  • CCNP
  • ITIL Intermediate
• Bachelor's degree preferred
