Job Description for a Pre-Sales Engineer

• Respond to enquiries including Requests for Proposals, and similar formal documents
• Keep the RFP database updated with new information as and when it is available
• Keep up to date with new features and product releases by reviewing product demo environments, release notes and other product documentation.
• Create or update existing presentations and documents to better reflect the product in the marketplace
• Partner with Account Executives by delivering high quality demonstrations of the product suite, walk through potential use cases, and answer technical questions whilst focusing on the value proposition.
• Showcase new products and features to clients and help them with adoption
• Be the trusted advisor to our end users by using your technical knowledge and act as a subject matter expert on questions regarding the platform best practices and features
• Goal is to assist the sales team in driving new revenue from new and existing customers
• Create reusable assets and processes which improve overall efficiency of the function

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years' experience working in client-facing technical roles, selling solutions to business leaders and technical champions in the enterprise (Solution architect, Consulting, Pre-sales, or related discipline), with 5+ years of overall professional experience supporting technical products.
• Experience working in a SaaS company or with cloud architectures
• Proven track record of learning new deep technologies with strong ability to handle technical objections
• Some travel may be required (client meetings, trade shows, etc.)
