The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

The Fixed Networks (FN) Regional Business Center (RBC) team leads the technical pre-sales of our Broadband Access Products broadband internet service providers. We work closely with the Sales, Product Management, and Product Marketing teams to help effectively capture Fixed Networks revenue.

What you will learn and contribute to

Our team is responsive to the needs of our customers and their sales teams, acting as their trusted advisor for FN products and solutions. In this role you play a critical role leading our go-to-market strategy, working closely with customers and account teams to develop and showcase solutions for world leading broadband service providers including telcos, Cable/MSO and new entrants to broadband service delivery. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate and build your strengths in both business and technology while positioning Nokia's market leading Fixed Networks (FN) portfolio. You'll work closely with the sales teams (sales executives, sales managers, sales engineers) on identifying opportunities and driving FN business to closure. This involves understanding our customer's challenges and helping to match Nokia's solutions to their needs.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Be part of the team that develops the technical strategy for each opportunity with the sales team and drive it to technical acceptance by the customer
  • Develop technical collateral, such as white papers and PowerPoint presentations to demonstrate how Nokia's products and delivery capabilities are the best option for success.
  • Assist in the tendering processes, including solution documentation and executive summaries.
  • Work with Product Line Managers to drive product development using customer feedback collected during the sales process

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (or related technical degree)
  • Exposure to one of more of the following technologies:
    • Optical technology applicable to fiber technologies including Passive Optical Networking (PON)
    • Data technology and networking
    • Cloud architecture, implementation and cloud application technologies
    • Software Defined Networks (SDN) including Orchestration, Automation and Analytics
    • In-home networking solutions including familiarity with Wi-Fi standards and implementation
  • Willingness to dedicate time to learning through documentation, shadowing more senior employees, asking questions, etc. and be willing to put those learnings to use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel for training and internal and external meetings as required

  • Excellent customer communication etiquette and presentation skills
