The Premium Audit Analyst interfaces with all departments, serving as our subject matter expert. You will have a wide range of experience within premium audit, and will use your in-depth knowledge of audit rules coupled with a high level of business acumen to appropriately communicate to customers both internal and external. You will be the go-to person for audit escalations and complex situations.
How You'll Do It
You will work on one or more complex projects for the premium audit team, using your knowledge to create new processes and enhance existing ones to provide a smoother, more efficient premium audit experience for both customers and your fellow Pie-oneers. Current projects include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance of Rules
Metrics Reporting
Review of Audits & Disputes
Special Projects- Assist Premium Audit leader with larger scoped projects

How You'll Do It
You will work on one or more complex projects for the premium audit team, using your knowledge to create new processes and enhance existing ones to provide a smoother, more efficient premium audit experience for both customers and your fellow Pie-oneers. Current projects include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance of Rules
- Oversee the daily batch audit ordering job on a daily basis
- Work with the Internal Audit Team Lead to support audit assignments and internal workload for individual Audit Advocates
- Analyze portfolio performance on a regular basis and deliver creative recommendations and edits
- Liaise with Analytics on model data
- Continually research and enact ways to maximize performance
Metrics Reporting
- Pull and cleanse raw data for monthly metrics reporting
- Prepare and complete development analysis on program performance indicators and key result metrics
- Contribute to the preparation of team scorecards
- Work with IT and other resources to create and automate additional reporting as needed
Review of Audits & Disputes
- Serve as the chief point of resolution for all incoming disputes, while leveraging the knowledge of different disciplines and cross-functional relationships
- Track and monitor trends in disputed audits to provide additional training to team members
- Act as a expert for the team in manual rule interpretation and application, and serve as the first point of contact for escalations
- Create and facilitate a quality assurance platform for the premium audit program
- Review return and additional premium approvals to prevent premium leakage and ensure accuracy
- Assist in identifying fraud and escalating to Premium Audit leadership
- Assist in daily production work; reviewing and processing audits as needed
Special Projects- Assist Premium Audit leader with larger scoped projects
- Act as a learning coach to newer team members, providing training and shadowing opportunities
- Assist in product prioritization efforts while representing the premium audit department in diverse portfolio meetings
- Gather, review and submit monthly Test Audit selections, acting as liaison with the independent bureaus and drafting rebuttal letters as needed
- Create and deliver requirements for the Product team
- Develop communications and templates for customers and partners
- Investigate, review and respond to all fraud inquiries and Department of Insurance complaints
The Right Stuff
- A High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional work experience
- 3+ years experience in insurance
- 2+ years premium audit experience
- Advanced Communication skills (both written and verbal), able to deliver complex information effectively and shift communication style based on audience to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strong problem solving skills; able to manage complex tasks and work through to the solution with little guidance and direction.
- Have the knowledge and are able to coach and lead team members and peers by demonstrating own performance in workflows and projects.
- Ability to make data driven decisions; both quantitative and qualitative.
