Have experience working with global customers and prospects? Good news! 1WorldSync is looking for a Presales Engineer to join our team.

1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 700 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we're seeking a Presales Engineer to support our growing global team.

Reporting to our Manager, Sales Engineering, the Presales Engineer will drive sales activity, and revenue for all 1WorldSync solutions. Working directly with our sales & customer success teams, this role must provide world-class solutioning and supporting demonstrations of 1WorldSync solutions based on the business needs of the prospect. This role will effectively articulate the 1WorldSync value proposition and directly influence sales opportunities to closure. Collaborating with Professional Services, this resource will manage customer handoff to implementation and delivery.

As Presales Engineer at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:

  • Effectively demonstrate 1WorldSync solutions to prospective customers
  • Drive sales closure for 1WorldSync solutions
    • Support account management in the sales process through closure
    • Present to our customers highly effective product demonstrations
    • Facilitate diagnosis, design, delivery & planning meetings for all related internal & external parties
    • Track status on project/program delivery progress as well as sales pipeline and pro-forma progress
    • Engage with product marketing to deliver value proposition collateral for use by sales organization
  • Liaise among Product Marketing, Services, Solution Partners, Support, Account Management, Business Development and Technology teams
  • Facilitate transition to advisory services for consulting engagements
  • Participate in cross-organizational alignment on key project/program rollout to market
  • Support and facilitate the completion of solution-related proposals and RF(X)s
  • Support post sales initiatives as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience interfacing directly with CPG and foodservice industry organizations relative to item data and content syndication work efforts
  • 5+ years of experience with sales process, sales strategies or peripheral visibility to sales cycles in a technology support role
  • 5+ years of experience in industries related to our key customer verticals, CPG Grocery, CPG General Merchandise, Hardlines, Healthcare, Foodservice and other Industry Verticals
  • 5+ years of experience supporting data quality strategies within the context of key recipient customers
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with large customers to assess requirements and understand needs

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fluency with the use of PIM, DAM, MDM, ERP, and PLM applications and related technologies
  • Background in brick and mortar retail, ecommerce, and related item-setup operations with familiarity with the GDSN
  • Business Intelligence - ability to translate market insights into actionable input for Product team
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to translate corporate strategy, business requirements, and customer expectations into 1Worldsync solution proposals
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to participate in multiple concurrent efforts and/or sales cycles and initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication and relationship building skills

Additional Details:

  • This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Chicago, IL headquarters.
  • This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in and be located in the US.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel.
