Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, and physical education while catering to the diverse needs of all students, including those requiring special education support. We are a NAEYC-accredited, non-profit private preschool. The hours for this position are 9:45am to 5:45pm.
Duties
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support children's individual learning needs, including early intervention strategies for those requiring additional assistance.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Skills
• BA, AA, or 12 semester units in ECE.
• Strong background in early childhood education principles and practices.
• Proficiency in lesson planning tailored to the developmental stages of preschool-aged children.
• Knowledge of special education techniques to support diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with literacy education strategies to promote reading readiness.
• Ability to implement early intervention practices effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
