About us Kids By The Sea is a beloved Reggio- Inspired neighborhood preschool with a focus on educating the whole child: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. We are a tight knit group of families and educators working together to create an environment full of love, learning, joy, wonder, exploration, and discovery for children 2-5 years of age. Using play and project-based learning as the core of our curriculum, we create beautiful learning environments where teachers and children are able to be the best versions of themselves. We love what we do and it comes through in every aspect of our program. We have two teaching positions available for the 2025-2026 school year. The first is for a teacher who would work 11-5 daily, supporting each of our classrooms during the morning and then running our (very small) afternoon program. The second is for a classroom teaching position in our mixed-age preschool classroom (3-5 year olds). For both positions, we need someone who has already taken their 12 ECE units or is working toward them. General TeacherResponsibilities: • Collaborate with co-teachers to create room design, curriculum, and a warm and loving atmosphere • Supervise and monitor the safety of the children in the classroom. • Closely observe children to best support the development of every child: socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. • Create a positive, happy, safe, and loving learning environment. • Form close relationships with families based on mutual trust and respect. Communicate with families on a regular basis.
