This role will work with multiple departments to create visually stunning, persuasive, and informative presentations that effectively convey complex ideas in a simplified manner.
The Presentation Designer will possess meticulous attention to detail and be eager to go the extra mile. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the preparation of decks using a combination of design and layout tools. Specific infographics and design assets may need to be created using Adobe CC (Illustrator + Photoshop), PowerPoint is currently the primary tool for our presentation assembly. The right candidate will be a presentation expert with significant experience in PowerPoint and collaboratively using Microsoft’s cloud suite including SharePoint and OneDrive.
This critical role will work under the supervision of our Creative Director, preparing presentations that support and drive an array of business initiatives. Please be prepared to show examples of your previous work.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, refine and deliver high-quality, impactful PowerPoint presentations that adhere to the brand's guidelines and standards.
- Organize and establish presentation outlines to transform complex concepts into clear and concise narratives
- Conceptualize original and unique designs, illustrations, infographics + other assets
- Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Maintain an up-to-date digital archive of all presentations, ensuring that all materials are properly categorized and easily retrievable
- Assist with presentations and graphics relating to tradeshows
- Remain current on industry trends, design tools, and best practices to consistently improve design quality
- Contribute to creative efforts by tackling additional design tasks as needed
- Continually improve processes and workflows to facilitate efficiency and quality
- Complete projects on time
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, art, design, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience of presentation design and/or pitch creation
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint and the Office 365 cloud suite
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop + InDesign)
- Understanding of marketing, product packaging, presentations, production, web design, corporate identity/branding, advertisements, and design
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver at our high standard of quality
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of presentations and creative
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Resourceful, self-guided and a strong analytical thinker
- Familiarity with STEM is not required but is a major plus
