Pricing

Role Overview: The primary role is to develop expert cost and pricing detail for proposals. This position will involve working with solution architects in interpreting proposal requirements, estimating level of effort and other direct costs, coordinating with and receiving quotes from subcontractors and consultants, revising estimates as appropriate, and working with members of the growth, proposal operations and operations departments to prepare the final cost volume(s)/proposal(s).

Responsibilities:

• Review requests for proposals (RFPs) to understand, document and communicate pricing requirements, customer specifications/requirements, FAR and RFP compliance, and adherence to compliance standards
• Work directly with appropriate teams to develop and lead pricing strategies, develop/update cost/pricing models in Microsoft Excel, narratives, schedules, and technical elements in accordance with the RFP specifications
• Perform all development aspects for establishing pricing models for a variety of solicitation requirements ranging from smaller task orders to billion-dollar deals
• Review staffing solution and/or prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) for accuracy and compliance with solicitation requirements
• Manage distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors and respond to pricing data calls by prime contractors as needed
• Perform competitive analysis on prior contracts, awards, and relevant data
• Prepare proposal cost volume(s) to include pricing schedules and descriptions of specific estimating methodology to support price reasonableness & realism
• Experience in developing basis of estimate for position salary for resources

• Solid Excel skills
• Excellent written, oral communications skills, and prior experience with Salesforce CRM
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Prior knowledge of government contracting, with specific experience in the Civilian space
• Understanding of various government contract types to include Time and Material (T&M), FFP, and Cost Reimbursable
• Present pricing models at management and executive reviews

Formal Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (in Finance or related preferred)

Years of Professional Experience:

5+ years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Concepts of Cost vs. Price and Direct vs. Indirect rate structures
• General knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other acquisition regulations relating to proposal pricing
