What We Need:
Support the Pricing Manager with analysis, insight and implementation of category pricing strategies for an assigned set of products, while also identifying opportunities for revenue and profit optimization. Develop, implement and review the pricing strategy for the category in collaboration with the Product Management, eCommerce and Sales Teams. Manage prices dynamically in order to enable Seton WPS to win new business, maximize margin profit and improve our competitive position in line with our value proposition.
Brady offers a hybrid work option that allows for both personal flexibility and in person collaboration to deliver the greatest outcomes for our people and customers. This option is a mix of in the office and one or two offsite days which are pre-determined based on role and function.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead Product Group Pricing strategies.
- Identify the right price position for new technologies and products
- Manage Product Lifecycle pricing
- Maintain competitor product matching lists.
- Maintain up to date Brady list prices.
- Validate and challenge cost prices changes.
- Collate and distribute price reporting.
- Model, analyze and implement the US category pricing strategies.
- Maximize revenue and profit through the application of strategic pricing levers and revenue management techniques.
- Validate, review and challenge cost base to ensure competitive position.
- Deliver credible insight, analysis and modelling of pricing strategies.
- Perform competitive analysis and report on Competitive Price metrics across the business
- Influence the promotional program for the category.
- Implement a series of pricing trials/tests to further develop understanding around areas such as price elasticity and promotional effectiveness.
- Participate in monthly category pricing review meetings
- Support cross functional pricing initiatives, including influencing the Discounts, Quotes and Tender processes.
- Responsible for implementing and managing the Category pricing strategy
- Shared responsibility for Gross Margin, Competitive Price Position, Return on Investment, Sales Volume and Average Selling Price ASP for the category
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- The ability to understand complex systems and processes and to use data and information available to solve problems and drive pricing decisions
- A confident decision maker comfortable working within agreed boundaries, confident in seeking advice in more difficult situations.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines changing priorities as part of a team or autonomously.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, accurate, organized and creative.
- Excellent analytical skills, including experience in creating, reviewing, and implementing pricing strategies in a similar environment or other industry.
- Understanding of price analytics, pricing algorithms and deployment of best practice.
- Knowledge of web analytics SAP beneficial
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data combined with an ability to summarize and translate that information for others in our business.
- Able to assess the performance of pricing activity and capitalize financially.
- Strong collaboration and communication/influencing skills.
- Highly proficient in data extraction, manipulation and extensive knowledge of Access, or SQL, Excel (VBAs/Macros), Domo / Business Objects and SAP is desirable.
