Pricing Analyst

Job Summary:

This position will focus developing an analytical process to approach corporate pricing both at the tactical level and at the strategic level. This individual will be an essential part of the organization as they will oversee and price all RFP’s for the brokerage division. This role will report directly to the Manager of Pricing and Procurement.

 Essential Functions:

• Manage, complete, and respond to RFPs in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements for new and existing customers in a specific mode, product, or trade lane.
• Understand, utilize and constantly optimize the various pricing and asset optimization tools available.
• Assess data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights while generating pricing strategies and future trends
• Understand and optimize modal yield strategy & modal assessorial fees.
• Use a variety of statistical modeling methods to prepare reports displaying potential impact of pricing or asset utilization strategies, including their effect on margins, costs, and sales outcomes.
• Analyze load level and complex data to drive accurate cost allocation for Asset-Lite Division. Establish contracted pricing on key lanes for Cardinal Logistics.
• Work with carriers through an RFP process to ensure that we are aligning all available carrier resources to expand Cardinals footprint with our customers and at the same time bring additional opportunity to our carrier partners.

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferred in Transportation/Logistics.
• Reports to Manager of Pricing and Procurement
• 1-2 years progressive operations and/or procurement roles in the non-asset brokerage space
• Four year degree required
• Self-starter, growth minded and entrepreneurial
• Must be coachable.
