Join us as Pricing Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Pricing Analyst who is a key member of the pricing team. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the pricing of securities and instruments held in BBH's mutual funds (onshore and offshore), sub-advised and separately managed institutional account portfolios are valued in accordance with the valuation policy and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review, research and resolve pricing exceptions
• Escalate pricing issues to the head of the pricing team and Valuation Oversight Committee ("VOC") for review
• Determine and seek approval for fair value pricing levels from the VOC
• Maintain the internal pricing models (discounted cash flow model) for complex structured securities
• Validate securities' fair value pricing based on broker quotes
• Initiate price challenge with approved pricing vendors as appropriate
• Work with the traders, brokers, VOC members in determining/calculate fair value pricing for securities / instruments that are not covered by approved pricing vendors
• Calculate fair values and submit to VOC for approval
• Prepare pricing-related materials for the monthly VOC meetings
• Present the pricing update (exceptions, resolution, and related commentary) at the monthly VOC meetings
• Prepare fair value forms
• Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects to continue to refine pricing workflows
• Respond to separately managed / sub-advised account clients' requests for pricing information
• Respond to auditors' requests for pricing information and assist in the ASC 820 fair value level hierarchy determinations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 2 years' experience performing the pricing function
• Solid understanding of the financial markets in general and fixed income markets, securities, and instruments in particular
• Strong work ethic - reliability and commitment to all facets of the pricing work is critical
• Collaborative, adaptable and a forward-thinker in redesigning workflows for efficiency
• Proficient in the use of Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel
• Data analysis skills is a big plus

Salary Range

$75,000-$85,000

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
