Pricing Analyst
Job Description
Scope:
Qualified individual will process and provide RFP pricing and analytical responses as they relate to new or existing business opportunities. This individual will work in conjunction with the CHRW Carrier Capacity Team, Contract/Rating Team, LTL Business Development Team and Office network and/or customers to coordinate the best competitive solution to meet the needs of the customers. This position requires the individual to act as a project manager for each opportunity as it relates to pricing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret pricing and strategy requirements, analyze data and coordinate pricing models in line with customer's needs while ensuring maximization of profits for CHRW
- Understand and become proficient in the use of reporting tools, rating tools, templates and models
- Project management with organized project notes and working files maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Translate analysis results to sales rep and aide in crafting proposal strategy
- Expand knowledge of all CHRW core business, sales strategies, and carrier philosophies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of LTL Pricing process
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrates strong analytical background and reporting capability; understanding the relationship between efficiency and risk.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced experience with all Microsoft Excel
- Adaptable to change and outside of the box thinking when necessary
- Effective time management with the ability to work under defined timelines
- Multi-task orientated while maintaining multiple lines of communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or related work experience
- Strong working knowledge of LTL pricing, carrier base rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial and rules tariffs
- Previous experience in Transportation, Logistics and E-Biz experience a plus
- Working knowledge of CHRW Navisphere and Contract Manager
- Working knowledge of reporting tools (SQL, PowerBI, Excel Tools)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Power Point, Access
