Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview
This position will conduct comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behavior. The key objectives are to optimize pricing decisions and maximize profitability through a thorough understanding of commercial dynamics for assigned product lines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Decide appropriate product price levels that maximize business unit sales and profitability.
- Analyze pricing data, sales metrics, and competitive intelligence to assure pricing decisions are aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Determine pricing for customer quotations of products in the responsibility scope, negotiating directly or indirectly as appropriate when there is customer feedback.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across assigned product portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and finance, to gather necessary data and insights for pricing analysis.
- Perform cost analysis to determine product profitability and implement price adjustments, as necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies and initiatives to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Stay updated on market dynamics, industry best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact pricing decisions.
- Prepare key pricing reports and presentations for Business Unit management and other stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects related to pricing as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or other analytically rigorous field.
- 3+ years of pricing and/or experience in an equivalent analytical role with a proven track record of success.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to work with large datasets and make data-driven pricing decisions.
- Ability to develop prices utilizing inputs from multiple functional areas within the business as well as other sources of data.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.)
- Ability to consistently meet critical deadlines and deliver accurate results.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing concepts and influence stakeholders within the organization.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Experience with software pricing models a plus.
