The Role
Amperity's Pricing & Packaging team is looking for a Pricing and Packaging MBA Intern to join us in the Summer of 2024. This individual will play a key role in driving commercial effectiveness of pricing strategies across Sales and GTM teams. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in influencing the deal pricing process using pricing analytics while contributing to strategic initiatives that impact business growth and profitability. In this role, you will work on highly sophisticated problems, gain insight into the strategic issues that are at the forefront in the minds of the leadership team, have exposure to senior-level decision-making, and have the chance to create relationships with people across the company.
This position is based out of Seattle/New York or remote and is reporting to the Head of Pricing and Packaging.
Core responsibilities will include
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and GTM teams to build frameworks, templates, and documentation for deal pricing conversations based on current best practices.
- Design and conduct pricing-related training for the Sales and GTM organization.
- Collaborate with Tech and GTM teams to ensure effective execution of pricing strategies and initiatives.
- Use advanced analytics to automate current pricing calculators and financial models incorporating different discounting frameworks.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing market intelligence, including competitor pricing, product positioning, and customer preferences.
- Conduct research and benchmarking exercises to identify industry best practices and market trends.
- Provide insights to the business through analytics and market research as required (e.g. pipeline and sales data, market, customer, competitors).

Requirements
- Should be available to work for a minimum of 12 weeks; 40 hrs each week.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; Actively pursuing MBA.
- 3+ years of prior work experience in product or program management, pricing, marketing, strategy consulting, finance, sales, BD, or related fields; experience in technology companies is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software like Looker and Tableau; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience conducting market, customer, and competitive research and analysis.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS pricing models, tools, and processes.
- Experience driving large initiatives from framing the problem, and conducting research/analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving execution.
- Prior experience working closely with Sales and GTM teams in enterprise SaaS is a plus.
- Excellent written/verbal communication to work with senior executives across various functions; comfort in business and technical discussions.
- Strong data handling, organizational, and time management skills, able to work on sophisticated business issues with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an unstructured, collaborative environment is ideal.
Pay Range: $40-$50 per hour.
