Pricing & Sales Analyst
Job Description
Basic Function
The purpose of the Pricing & Sales Analyst role (PSA) is to ensure excellence in pricing management in APS Sales USCAN, as well as to support further advancement of digital tools and optimization analysis withing the business. The position of PSA focuses on support to sales and business in APS USCAN with 3 main areas of responsibilities - operational activities, reporting and tool development. The PSA collaborates with the marketing managers and the sales team to collect the required information in order to support pricing excellence improvement management process. A successful PSA demonstrates strong skills in spreadsheet handling, use of functions available in excel, and calculations free from mathematical errors. Other skills refer to written and verbal communication, analytical ability and problem-solving.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Sales Team members by coordinating the process for monthly price calculation, preparation, and maintenance of the price upload files and price master files
- Support sellers with the input of information required for Fiori uploads, pre-populating data fields.
- Investigate and resolve pricing questions/errors in co-operation with main stakeholders CSRs, Credit, Master Data, VAT, Sales and Marketing. Include any relevant Credit/Debit administration support and root cause analysis
- Support to run, compile, analyze and distribute the Pricing dashboard including missing prices, material gross price/net price deviations vs plan or historic sales, benchmarks, etc.
- Maintain customer lists on formula and freely-negotiated basis
- Develop and implement Error checkers and other tools that optimize data quality as required.
- Participate in SAP Pricing Workshops to ensure smooth transition from legacy ASI systems to new LYB SAP
- Support to drive further Digitalization of Pricing Management with enabling tools like Salesforce, Advanced Analytics and future AM Portals, and SAP.
- Support the execution of the monthly SOX pricing accuracy control and issue month closure report for APS Sales
- Design, gather and provide select reports and analysis as periodically requested by Management.
- Continually seek to add value to the enterprise through providing various sales support functions to the business to include but not limited to the following: customer communications, generation of sales reports, data analysis, pricing entry support, surveys, or other tasks as assigned by business management.
- Provide support as required for development of annual business plan as directed by business management. This would include preparation of sales templates (standardized bottoms-up business plan), support of challenge sessions, compiling of data, and upload of data into SAP.
- Assist as required with preparation / processing / approval process / archiving / retention of contracts / price letters / quote files for all customers on share drive database per business control guidelines and delegation of authority procedures (DOA).
- Support any other special projects as assigned by business management such as support of preparation or updating of sales & marketing training materials, new hire onboarding, share drive support and development of new information tools, Business Audit support (internal and external), etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a major in Supply Chain Management, Information and Operations Management, Logistics Technology, Industrial Distribution, Accounting/Finance or related degree
from an accredited university. 4+ years related experience required in lieu of degree. - SAP Expertise on Commercial Operations including Price Management.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Office Word/Excel, SAP R/3, SalesForce), preferably advanced in Excel and experience with Advanced Analytics.
