A Pricing Manager is an experienced business professional capable of guiding a diverse team in addressing the critical commercial aspects of an opportunity from the development stage through to successful deal closure. The skill set and experience enables commercial support to sales team and business units through development of a competitive product and services solution based on the IP/Optical portfolio.
What you will learn and contribute to
The role contains creation and implementation of optimal commercial strategies, models, and prices in alignment with the overall business strategy as well as pricing-related Limits of Authority (LoA). It also comprises analysis, setting and monitoring of prices and conditions (e.g. service pricing, product pricing, solution pricing) as well as development of sales opportunities and offers by collaborating with sales team and business groups to leverage effective use of resources and prioritization in developing sales offers. You will ensure timely delivery of a high quality offers through managing offer creation across involved teams and during negotiation phase and handover to delivery. Specifically, you will:
- Be responsible for the application of defined commercial and pricing models to new offers and delivering commercial solutions for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and proactive deals.
- Manage the commercial aspects of key deals including deal strategy with Customer Teams and other pre-sales teams including product, services and contractual topics.
- Maximize deal profitability with optimized scope ("skinny scope") and cost structure, minimize price erosion and avoid value leakage.
- Align commitment of key stakeholders (e.g. CT, Product and Services BUs, and Project Delivery teams).
- In a Lead BG capacity for multi-BG offers, represent Network Infrastructure in overall commercial strategy and coordinate alignment and buy-in with other BGs.
Your skills and experience
You have:
β’ A degree Business or Marketing or equivalent field of study as well as 7+ years of work experience (product manager, sales engineering, system engineer, pricing or proposal manager) preferrably with IP products.
β’ Solid business acumen with ability to identify and assess pricing and commercial issues and drive to successful resolution.
β’ Ability to guide and influence multi-disciplinary teams.
β’ Skilled communicator with ability to constructively advise senior business decision makers.
β’ Pricing and margin expertise, business case creation know-how, and Market / Competitor intelligence
It would be nice if you had:
β’ Nokia product portfolio knowledge including Care services
β’ Knowledge of Nokia Sales Processes, Methodologies and Tools
β’ Ability to work under pressure to meet critical timelines and are conflict resolution savvy
