About the Job
K1 is seeking a data-driven Pricing Strategy Associate to develop & execute high impact monetization strategies across its portfolio of B2B SaaS companies. The Pricing Strategy Associate will play a critical role on K1’s Pricing Strategy team as both a project leader & emerging resident expert in B2B SaaS pricing strategies.
The ideal candidate is a results-focused individual who has a demonstrated track record of solving strategic growth challenges for C-level executives as part of a consultant or internal operations team.
Responsibilities:
Engage with deal teams, C-level executives, & functional leaders across K1’s portfolio of enterprise software companies to identify & execute key pricing and monetization opportunities for recurring revenue software companies.
The Pricing Strategy Associate will design and eventually lead team engagements across competitive pricing & packaging, strategic bundling, product strategy, and usage & behavioral studies to drive financial outcomes.
Apply consultant frameworks to solve complex problems utilizing quantitative & qualitative research methods including primary research, quantitative surveys, expert networks, & buyer panels blended with internal customer and product data.
Methodically analyze large complex datasets along with project team utilizing tools like Excel, Power BI, Sawtooth Lighthouse, Python
Distill concise insights & recommendations from large volumes of data. Deliver impactful presentations and working sessions to company executives to gain trust & a commitment to execute.
Develop detailed execution plans for pricing & packaging recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, customer success, operations, & finance to materialize recommendations.
Serve as an advisor and thought leader to portfolio executives and K1 deal teams, pre- and post-investment.
Qualifications:
Four-year degree with focus on Mathematics & Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or Economics.
2-4 years of relevant experience at a reputable strategy consulting firm or in a pricing/monetization focused role in the enterprise software space.
Experience applying quantitative data analysis, statistical models, & financial analysis in previous consulting or pricing experience.
Knowledge of SaaS financial metrics, recurring revenue, subscription-based pricing, & multi-axis pricing strategies.
Strong communication skills.
Excels in project management, including timeline and communication management, stakeholder management, and delivery.
Knowledge of analytical tools, such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python.
Ability to foster teamwork & creativity, innovation while working on projects.
Ability to travel up to 30% to various portfolio companies

As of the date of this posting, K1 Investment Management, LLC reasonably expects to pay $90,000-$120,000 + performance-based bonus for the position of Pricing Strategy Associate.
