The Scoop:
Principal, Account Management develops and promotes the overall vision, goals, strategies, and objectives for the Account Management department in line with overall Account Management department goals and objectives. Through subordinate Account Executives, Account Managers, and Business Solutions Managers, plans and coordinates the activities of the Account Management functions.
What You Get To Do: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives
- Interacts with leaders from SUNRx's clients to foster relationships
- Serves as sales resource and participates in marketing and sales initiatives at client sites and prospective client sites to provide information on account team support as needed
- Responsible for Account Services support to sales and marketing to ensure they receive timely advice about RFP responses related to account management support
- Assist in development of marketing materials
- Directs and coordinates activities of department or division for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives
- Identifies opportunities to enhance or develop products based on feedback from clients
- Works with product owners to affect change. Coordinates the efforts of Account Management with Pharmacy, Operations, IT, and Compliance units to ensure that the programs provided meet the clients' needs and further SUNRx's business objectives
- Develops and promotes the Account Management department's vision, goals, and objectives in support of the Company's overall vision and objectives
- Select, develop and manage the necessary organization to implement the vision and keep members of the department motivated and focused on achieving goals and objectives
- Manages budget, recruit staff, and organize work efforts around key performance objectives for Account Management
- Attends national and local meetings to increase the opportunity to solicit unbiased feedback from clients and potential clients and maintain SUNRx's professional presence in the industry
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages assigned staff in the Account Management group
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary
Education and/or Experience
For consideration candidates will need a
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university
- Ten (10) plus years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) plus years operational experience within 340B required
- A minimum of four (4)years of previous experience managing and/or supervising staff with responsibility for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Leadership experience may be substituted with five (5) years of MedImpact/340B experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (VP ) for current active employees
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
