General Summary:

The Digital Adoption Lead position works to drive the adoption & engagement of enterprise digital products and services across all enterprise journeys. Through understanding user motivations, feature fit, creative strategy, key messaging and communications, and key performance indicator and metric analytics, this role produces effective adoption strategy and executes tactics to drive usage & engagement of digital products and services. This position plays an integral part in achieving digital enterprise KPIs and Product goals by working with business leaders, product management, service operations, marketing, field development, subject matter experts, and information technology teams to strategize a cohesive roadmap and project plan that will ultimately promote and improve the end user's online experience.

This role requires a thorough understanding of digital product strategy, advanced knowledge of user persona, ability to understand web and operation analytics with the ability to drive insights and provide recommendations, behavior change best practices, project management skills, and strategic and critical thinking abilities to identify areas of opportunity to promote digital platforms and improve the overall user experience. The Digital Adoption Lead must have a good understanding of all journey digital platform functionality and consistently derive and measure results against key metrics that align with the overall enterprise. The role must be flexible and versatile to partner with several areas of business and a knowledge of market trends and target audience needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research customers' needs and wants with the ability to translate into actionable next steps to influence a digital product roadmap or behavior change
  • Conduct regular customer interviews and conversations to understand the need and behaviors to drive change
  • Serves as a journey web analytics SME by analyzing complex digital data and providing strategic insights and strategies base on Google Analytics and internal data
  • Actively seeks areas of opportunities within the business and brainstorms new creative ways to increase digital adoption
  • Develops robust project plans, and roadmaps to increase adoption of online platforms for a multitude of target audiences
  • Conduct Design thinking sessions
  • Defines key performance indicators and regularly measures results via data analytics or Qlikview software
  • Defines and reinforces adoption strategies and plans to suit target user or product or service needs
  • Ability to visualize data leveraging Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, PowerPoint
  • Ability to partner with creative, business, and analytics partners to achieve results
  • Regularly reports progress, accomplishments and future plans to senior leadership
  • Drafts content to target key audiences
  • Serves as a journey digital analytics SME by actively partnering with product owners, business partners, and creative partners to produce positioning materials, raise awareness and promote new features
  • Identifies data needs and partners with operations and analytics team members to obtain necessary data to support initiatives and key metrics
  • Understands the functionality of digital platforms across all enterprise journeys and remains abreast of new features for potential adoption opportunities of user experience improvements
  • Drives engagement with business and field partners to gain support in digital adoption efforts
  • Monitors industry best practices and reactions to adoption efforts to continuously refine and improve project plans
  • Facilitate relationships with third party vendors and contractors
  • Ability to resolve issues and conflicts with team members
  • Develops and monitors best practices, trends and new technologies and evaluates them for possible adoption
  • Actively researches evolving marketplace strategies and technologies to bring in ideas from other industries and companies that would benefits Unum's client base.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent relevant business experience
  • 8+ years of experience with digital product development, project management, and/or digital adoption
  • Experience driving adoption strategy on digital properties or similar products
  • Experience in project management and planning
  • Experience with Google Analytics and or Adobe Analytics with a proven history of working with data
  • Experience with Data visualization with tools like Tableu and Power BI
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting software
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sufficient with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with experience mapping software such as Miro, Overflow.io, Vizio
  • Superior written communication skills - ability to craft internal and external facing content
  • Experience leveraging and maintaining email communication platforms such as MailChimp and Emma
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills - able to present and win approval for concepts from senior leadership
  • Excellent presentation creation skills
  • Ability to work on many projects and teams in parallel and see across multiple projects and customer channels and identify opportunities to connect adoption strategies
  • Sharp critical thinking skills and creativity to strategize out-of-the-box solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations
  • Self-starter with superior organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to resolve issues and conflicts with team members

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$103,600.00-$202,100.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
