Principal AI Product Engineer

This is a high-impact technical leadership role at the intersection of software engineering, AI innovation, and modern product development. You will help shape how AI is embedded directly into enterprise-grade software used by global legal, compliance, and HR teams. The role combines hands-on architectural design with strategic technical direction, focusing on building scalable, AI-integrated systems. You will guide distributed engineering teams, including nearshore developers, while ensuring strong alignment between product goals and engineering execution. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted development and continuous delivery. You will play a key role in improving development velocity, system quality, and product intelligence. Your work will directly influence the future of AI-driven software delivery across enterprise platforms.

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable AI-integrated software solutions across distributed systems and microservices.
• Translate product vision into modular, executable engineering tasks optimized for both human developers and AI-assisted workflows.
• Develop and refine AI integration strategies, including APIs, prompt engineering, and LLM-based services.
• Guide system design decisions and ensure adherence to modern engineering principles such as domain-driven design and scalable architecture patterns.
• Mentor and coach distributed engineering teams, promoting AI adoption, clean code practices, and engineering excellence.
• Conduct thorough code reviews across human- and AI-generated code, ensuring performance, security, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate on DevOps and CI/CD improvements, integrating AI-driven automation into build, test, and deployment pipelines.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong architectural and technical leadership responsibilities.
• 2+ years of production experience working with AI/ML systems or large language models.
• Strong backend or full-stack development skills in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Proven experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, GPT APIs, Devin AI).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and domain-driven design principles.
• Experience leading distributed or nearshore engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGPT) and LLM infrastructure such as embeddings or vector databases.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly articulate technical decisions.
