The Principal Architect, Enterprise Systems should have deep solution architecture experience as well as an understanding of emerging technical trends and innovation. You must possess a strategic thought process, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership. You will have a deep understanding of SaaS business applications, security, and architectural patterns to drive business and IT objectives in a dynamic, high growth environment.
What you'll do:
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for providing technology leadership and oversight of the project portfolio consisting of multiple, cross-functional projects of varying complexities, in support of strategic business initiatives.
- Design systems and/or processes that provide efficient, effective solutions for diverse, complex problems.
- Collaborate with the team to assess the cross functional impacts of business decisions across the Enterprise ecosystem and provide input on IT processes and procedures affecting the team
- Partner with the user community, including executives, to identify their business requirements; analyze business processes; analyze source data; produce functional specifications, data flows and business rules; and assist with the implementation of those specifications.
- Document business process flows, UML diagrams, and corresponding applications architecture.
- Drive and Deliver cross-platform solutions as per business requirements.
- Define and maintain current and future state system and application architectures, frameworks and roadmaps and also identify gaps between current and desired end-states
- Understand and communicate functionality, identify risks, manage change and design solutions that are efficient, scalable and cost-effective.
- Provide architectural guidance and drive the evolution of Master Data Management systems, policies, data flows and algorithms
- Recommend build vs buy when It comes to third party integrations for Salesforce and AWS stack
- Partner with the functional IT teams to ensure that solutions align to the reference architecture model and technology strategy.
- Establish and facilitate the adoption of integration patterns to ensure business applications are securely and sustainably integrated with consistent data flows.
- Collaborate with project teams to lead solution design, project proposals, proof-of-concepts, and delivery of the solution implementation including integration with both internal and external applications
How we work
We balance accelerated creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration and flexibility, from inside and outside of our office walls. For most roles, our employees work three days of their choice in our offices and the remaining two days from home.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- 10+ years work experience in application development and architecture roles supporting Sales, Marketing, Service and Finance organizations.
- 5+years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting AWS and Salesforce and/or Oracle implementations in a large enterprise.
- 5+ years of experience architecting and developing cloud-native applications including development of APIs and microservices on containers.
- 5+ years of experience architecting and maintaining Master Data Management solutions
- Strong understanding of business processes in any one of the following: Marketing, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and other business flows.
- Experience leading enterprise level integration projects like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc
- Embrace new technology stack, solution stack and mix of multiple vendors on the SFDC, Oracle and AWS stack
- Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
Additional locations for this role are Santa Clara, CA; Westlake Village, CA; Austin, TX; Scottsdale, AZ and Vancouver, BC, Canada

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect in the listed locations. We tailor our offers based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process. All ranges are location based, ranges for positions in other locations may vary based on the local market.
Salary Range for select office locations
- Santa Clara $224,700 to $325,700
- Westlake Village $204,400 to $296,400
Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as percentage of salary. Similarly to salary, annual incentive bonus targets are set based on a variety of factors including job level, competitive market practice, experience, tenure, and essential skills.
