THE ROLE: Principal Architect

Job Summary:

As a Principal Architect, you will focus on ongoing enhancements of the security operations, automation, data engineering, and security testing throughout the Presidio Managed Services environment. Candidates must have the capability to work effectively in a result driven environment, both independently and as a team member; ability to interact well with all levels of management and technical resources. Self-motivation and dedication to objectives is essential.

Travel Requirements:

You will have the opportunity to work remotely in this role with limited travel (up to 10%).

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead resource for all Security Automation activities (design, deployment, integrations, and operations)
• Provide operational leadership on programmability to drive innovation and execution of new SOC services with fellow architects
• Use methods such as scripting, data collection, data management, and custom-dashboards to drive business efficiencies and time-saving capabilities for Presidio Security stakeholders and clients
• Develops security content in conjunction with Security architects to ensure the Presidio Threat Framework is natively integrated with Presidio Cloud Managed Services (CMS) offerings, such as AWS, Azure, and more.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring assistance to Security Engineering team focusing on adoption of modern platform integrations and automations, such a Git, Docker, Ansible, Python, APIs, etc.
• Write technical articles for knowledge sharing
• Work with Presidio team members to find innovative ways to solve or improve existing production security issues

Required Skills:

• Experience with security solutions that align with customer's compliance requirements and industry standards like PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, CSF, ITIL, COBIT, Sarbanes Oxley, CIS Controls, etc.
• Strong industry knowledge and expertise in building comprehensive solutions.
• Solid documentation experience with Microsoft® Visio, Word, and Excel
• Prior experience working closely with customers and collaborating with IT staff
• Experience deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining SIEM components
• Prior experience working closely with customers and collaborating with IT staff
• Experience with DevOps technologies such as Git, Docker, Ansible, Python, APIs, etc.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills - ability to de-construct problems
• Working knowledge of Security Testing and Audit Platforms (Nessus, NMAP, etc.)
• Working knowledge of host/network common vulnerabilities and exploits (CVEs, IAVAs, etc.), hacker methodologies and tactics, and the tools used.
• Demonstrated effective decision-making skills related to implementing architecture and design
• Working Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, TCP/IP headers and packets, the OSI model, and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and associated services.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Ambitious and goal-oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
• 6-10 years' experience of in-depth architectural and technical knowledge in two of the following areas:

o Cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
o Network Infrastructure (Routers/Switches/Load Balancers, etc.)
o Security Controls (Firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, Endpoint, Content Filter, VPN, SIEM, etc.)
o Virtualization Platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)

• Strong development skillset with Python
