Job Description
- Perform hands-on solution design, solution architectures, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proofs-of-concept, and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects
- Ensure solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements
- Act as a liaison between Technical team, Functional team, Business Functions, and System Integrators to drive implementations
- Be recognized as a functional expert in product space where representing
- Conduct Solution Architecture reviews with project teams prior to design and development activities and ensure solution is scalable, is aligned with internal product roadmaps, and meets customers' business requirements
- Guide the technical team to deliver a flexible and scalable solution

As Principal Architect for SAP, will manage the process design, configuration, and requirement gathering for SAP Retail, as well as integration touch points to other processes and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on with cross-functional teams tasked with solving business requirements. You will estimate, configure and leverage SAP functionality to meet core business process needs. This position would interface regularly with business stakeholders, development teams, and third parties to ensure that business requirements are met through proper system design and configuration.
The role is also responsible to act as a Supply Chain thought leader and guiding and mentoring various teams within the matrix organization to ensure the solution that is deployed is aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or IT Architecture
- 10+ years of business experience with diverse operational, development and business roles
- 10-12+ years experience with business process design and improvement;
- 10+ years experience in an architecture role
- Experience collaborating with regional and global project teams to define business requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals
- Experience in developing integrated solutions involving process, data, and technology
- Experience with business case development
- Strong conceptual, strategic thinking, problem solving, technical and analytical skills
- Leadership and interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Proven ability to work effectively within a large organization that operates using matrix management structures
- Knowledge and ability to support: translation of business needs into solution architecture requirements, application of multiple technical solutions to business problems, and estimation of the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
- 7+ years in designing and executing complex enterprise IT transformation projects within Retail and Fashion industry.
- Exceptional knowledge and expertise within SAP Retail Order to Cash domain including experience with SAP S/4 Fashion and CAR system including integrating with Digital platforms and POS systems.
- Expertise in designing and architecting solutions using SAP S/4 Fashion/AFS/IS Retail for merchandising, master data, finance, controlling, merchandise assortment planning, forecasting, allocations, replenishment, pricing, and promotions.
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams; Act as a trusted advisor with excellent stakeholder engagement. Excel in articulating complex subject process designs creating various architectural artifacts by partnering with professionals across the enterprise to deliver on the outcomes.
- Be very knowledgeable about various design patterns in enterprise architecture including usage of EA tools and showcasing best practices in integrating different applications and components.
