As part of our team, you will:
- Participate as the technical lead for architecture, solution and design of SaaS Framework functions and capabilities. Enable and standardize Nokia's SaaS use cases for production and readiness for customers
- Technical Interface to product managers, CTO office, deployment teams, development teams, UX team, hyperscalers and other internal stakeholders for SaaS Framework. In collaboration with Business Units R&D Stakeholder review and standardize testing for all SaaS applications, identifying and solving performance chokepoints so that platform and application are performing according to the customers' expectations
- Build and evolve SaaS Framework maturity for a fully automated Multicloud and Multitenant SaaS pipeline for Fault, Capacity at scale, Assurance, Provisioning and Security and Lifecycle management of SaaS applications. Focus on Services Agility. Review SaaS applications and standardize the architecture and design so that new applications and features can be added with speed
- Carry forward the SaaS Framework's architecture and technical stack. Creation and prioritization of SaaS Framework requirements and dependencies in collaboration with business stakeholders. Drive architectural practices into development and delivery teams' work
- Mature the CI/CD automation using K8S, Cross Plane, Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines and recipes that integrate product service delivery with shared framework components
- Interface with the security team to ensure all SaaS applications are compliant to established security practices. Ensure SaaS Framework adherence to Nokia policies for Trade Compliance, Security, Privacy, GDPR, etc.
- Lead the architecture for SaaS service provider and customer portals' requirements and roadmap/cadence along with Product Owners. Be a technical voice for the following standards and technologies: REST, Kubernetes, ITIL, TMF ODA/APIs, CNCF, YAML, Netconf, etc.
Your skills and experience
You have:
Technical Skills:
- SaaS Platform, Microservices, Multi-Tenancy, Multicloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Syniverse). Preferred: AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional or Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent
- Technology leadership experience in at least one of the hyperscalars. Understanding of large-scale distributed systems. Ability to drill deep on technical implementation. Proven success as an architect and designer of large-scale high-performance SaaS products and services in senior technical role
- Deep expertise of monitoring, Observability, ticketing and assurance best practices for operations tooling
- Proven track record of integrating bleeding edge security principals of APIs, microservices, SSO, OAuth, IAM, Zero Trust, etc. and owning and creating complete secure architecture
- IP Network connectivity and security, including VPN, VPC peering, IPSec, DDoS mitigation, Secure DNS, NAT, IDS/IPS, etc.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
- Tools and technologies: Terraform, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.
Process Skills:
- Services Agility: Deep expertise with CI/CD environments and DevOps methodologies. Deep understanding of building workflow automation and orchestration engines at multiple layers: customer interfaces, business processes, services analysis, design and deployment, network analysis, design and deployment, element management and provisioning, etc. Closed loop fault detection, correlation and mitigation.
- Knowledge and experience of modern software development methodologies including Agile/Sprint etc. Good working knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing and code analysis
- Conducts technical reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with framework's established procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or technical equivalent
- Expert level for technical, process and communication skills
- Minimum 5 years (preferred 8 years) of experience with architecting public cloud solutions
- Minimum 10 years of experience of working in process automation and orchestration, services agility and CI/CD. Automating/orchestrating both the business processes and the technology systems processes that enable them
- Minimum 10 years of experience to produce detailed component specifications as part of a solution architecture
- Minimum 10 years of experience to provide authoritative guidance on technical aspects of systems development, integration, operations, disaster recovery, lifecycle and deployment
- Minimum 3 years of experience with security at infrastructure, platform and applications levels
- Experience with analytics and related technologies
- Excellent interpersonal communication. Comfortable explaining complex problems in ways that opens the boundaries of possibilities and inspire others to follow
