Principal, Architecture Solutions

The Northern Trust Company seeks a Principal, Architecture Solutions to provide long term technical strategy and leadership to drive future proof target architectures. Collaborate with business partners to understand their goals, current and future product requirements, and current pain points, and devise creative solutions to address them effectively and efficiently. Work closely with Entitlement solution architects and teams to define conceptual and actual architectures and ensure detailed designs and implementation continue to align. Ensure day to day architecture decisions across Entitlement Technology Teams and projects align to enterprise, business, and technology strategies, best practices, and objectives. Ensure resulting solutions and applications are highly scalable, highly available, and highly performant.#LI-DNI

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 10 years of progressively responsible experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with Financial Service applications; 5 years of experience providing architecture solutions for large, complex application projects; 5 years of experience with developing conceptual and high-level architecture diagrams and providing leadership of them through design and successful implementation; 5 years of experience with development methodologies including Agile/Lead, Scrum, Incremental, Waterfall; 5 years of experience with static analysis tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, or Appspider; 5 years of experience with AJAX, DevOps and continuous integration, J2SE, Java, JDBC, JSON, Kafka, MQ, PL/SQL, REST API development, Spring Boot/Cloud, Spring Framework, Spring Integration, and Solace.
