Strand Therapeutics is seeking a Principal Associate Scientist of Bioanalytical to join our dynamic team in Boston. As a member of our Bioanalytical Sciences team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the founding team and world-leading advisors and play a key role in supporting our discovery and development programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development, optimization, qualification, and execution of bioanalytical ligand binding assay (LBA) and column chromatography (CC) methods for quantitation of various types of biomolecules, particularly lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids.
• Coordinate with external CROs on method development and qualification/validation, perform method transfer, review and author relevant protocols and reports and support nonclinical in-vivo studies.
• Review and author relevant protocols and reports.
• Support nonclinical in-vivo studies to evaluate PK/TK, safety, and efficacy of Strand’s development candidates.
• Work closely with colleagues in research and translational development as well as other cross-functional groups.

Qualifications:

• B.S./M.S. in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
• B.S. with 5+ years of experience or M.S. with 3+ years of hands-on bioanalytical experience.
• Hands-on bioassay development and knowledge of assay qualification/validation criteria required for LBAs & CCs, including ELISA, MSD, qPCR/RT-qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, and LC-MS/MS required.
• Ability to develop/author methods and generate data in accordance with the “Bioanalytical Method Validation Guidance for Industry”.
• Prior experience with collaborating with external partners such as CROs required.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong ability to analyze and communicate complex results through written and oral communication.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
