Job Responsibilities:

• Understands and applies knowledge of data/databases and files/file processing to investigate and resolve financial variances.
• Leverages data and analytics to create robust reports and information that drive business optimization initiatives
• Analyzes data to enable proactive management of thresholds and requirements to avoid the potential for monetary impacts or fines
• Develops and operationalizes tools and methodologies to drive effective and repeatable reporting that supports critical operational and financial activities.
• Provides oversight to the development and execution of test cases and launch executions
• Serves as the main interface and liaison between end users and development throughout the product creation or application implementation.
• Independently assists with and contributes to the identification and analysis of risk and opportunity information that affects business operations.
• Investigates variances by performing initial triage and validation through a variety of applications, systems, queries and research procedures.
• Analyzes root cause to define necessary actions to remediate and prevent reoccurrence.
• Ensures that defined controls are followed and suggests new controls based on root cause findings, to prevent reoccurrence.
• Inserts exception records in the SQL Exception Table as necessary to resolve variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or technical field desired
• 12+ years database system analysis experience desired.
• 5+ years operational banking, settlement and reconciliation or cash management experience desired
• Powerful problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence others
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Intense passion for using data to drive better decision making
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Robust attention to detail
• Vigorous ability to query and analyze data, research business levers, apply context and trend analysis

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job:

• Strong understating and knowledge of payment and processing concepts including but not limited to:
  • Funding models/funding distribution and accounting concepts
  • SQL queries
  • ACH and ATM processing
  • Credit Card and Chargeback processing
  • Adjustment and Reversal processing
  • File processing and change management practices

Work Environment:

• Standard work environment
• Majority of time spent on PC (Phys. Req.)
