Job Description:
Supports the enterprise decisions through the development and delivery of value-added data and analytics. This requires the understanding of critical business issues and relevant actionable items, from a data perspective. This involves gathering requirements, drawing insights from data, preparing executive presentations, identifying inefficiencies and ensuring the data within the solutions is accurate. This role primarily supports the Inside Sales organization.
Provides reports to executives and sales operations department leaders that support business decision making, which involves:
- Data acquisition: Data for reports may be in different systems, which needs to be brought into a common database
- Data integration: Once the data is in a common database, the relationship between different sources needs to be defined and maintained for meaningful reporting
- Development of reports, dashboards and delivery schedule
- Analysis of dashboards and data to derive actionable insights and recommendations to the leaders
- Report development - collaborates with end users to understand business requirements; develops analysis to map to existing data assets and develops a plan for report fulfillment through the use of automation where possible.
- Provides accurate, insightful reporting - specifically reports on pipeline, activities, operational productivity trends and product utilization trends.
- Ensures that the content is reflective of the business and operational direction of the company
- Highly engaged to deliver reports on schedule and on time
- Provides oversight of information to troubleshoot reporting issues and unusual trends
- Ability to create visualization using a BI tool
- Performs ad hoc analysis as requested and generates business insights using a wide variety of data sources and BI tools
- Builds and maintains relationships with users to ensure adoption and buy-in of reporting solutions.
- Ability to research, analyze and interrogate business processes in order to create KPI's and dashboards that will identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Articulate areas of inefficiencies and recommend ways to improve
- Supports change management
Job Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of directly related experience.
- 5 years experience in utilizing tools to extract data points across systems
- 2+ years experience in report development
- Proficiency with standard business and database software (MS Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Excel, SQL)
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience in Salesforce a plus
- Excellent verbal, written and group communication skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong quantitative analysis capabilities
- Ability to learn new software as it related to reporting analysis
- Team player as well as cross functionality
- This is a highly independent position that requires self directed individual
- Must work and coordinate with other members of the team
- Has creative latitude to work outside of guidelines
