Principal Capital Planner (Perm -Hybrid at our Chicago HQ near O'Hare Airport)
Job Description
The Principal Capital Planner will oversee the capital planning process, focusing on capital plan stress testing and ensuring regulatory compliance. Develop and implement capital planning strategies, providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management, implementing and documenting key controls, and collaborating with key stakeholders to align with the company's financial goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide capital plan stress testing to evaluate the resilience of the company's financial position under various macro-economic scenarios
- Coordinate with key stakeholders across finance, lending, deposits and risk to develop various scenarios. Leverage insights and outcomes to align with and influence strategic objectives
- Develop and deliver capital plan reports to senior management and the board of directors
- Lead capital plan engagements with external regulators
- Create and document key controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to capital planning
- Execute monthly financial business forecasts to estimate the impact on earnings and capital given dynamic economic conditions. Analyze and present conclusions to the CFO
- Manage ad hoc projects related to strategic initiatives, sustainable growth, and enhanced capital management
Education:
- Bachelors Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Related - Minimum
- Graduate Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Related - Preferred
Years of Experience:
- 5 Years - Capital planning, financial analysis or related - Minimum
In Lieu of Education:
- 8 years - Capital planning, financial analysis or related
