The Cloud Security Architect will be the leader in in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's cloud infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, modern application development, security best practices, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud security strategy and architecture to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
• Design and oversee the implementation of security controls, policies, and procedures for cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select appropriate security technologies, tools, and services for cloud-based systems.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and conduct security code reviews.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security-related matters, including incident response, forensic analysis, and security incident handling.
• Work closely with other Security and Audit teams to ensure that business processes, solutions, and architectures meet external expectations and provide necessary proof for audits.
• Assist all IT teams in threat modeling and threat hunting.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience (2+ years) working as a Cloud Security Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments.
• Proven experience (10+ years) as an application developer with security focus or a dev sec ops engineer working to secure applications with modern cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, including their respective security offerings.
• In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, industry standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CSA, CIS, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Hands-on experience with security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and experience integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are highly desirable.
