The Role

Do you want to work on leading edge cloud technologies which are transforming how developers work with cloud?

As a Principal Cloud Data Engineer you will work within your Data Platform space, on our Change Data Capture (CDC) team. You will work with a highly collaborative, multi-functional technical team who are committed to improving the value of our technology solutions. Also work with business teams to develop solutions to business requirements and client problems.

The team blends deep technology & business expertise with a passion for exploring and implementing new emerging technologies while working in an open and transparent way.

You will work with the latest replication capabilities and industry best practices while using your passion for continuous learning to evolve our Data platform capabilities supported by dedicated learning days each week.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Knowledge in data movement capabilities including, data streaming, data replication and change data capture.
• In-depth technical knowledge of engineering data services using modern data replication platforms (e.g. GoldenGate, Fivetran, Striim).
• Experience in building and deploying data solutions in AWS and Azure.
• An advocate for software engineering best practices and principles.
• Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching other engineers in the team.
• Passion for continuous learning.

Bonus skills

• Cloud Certifications in AWS.
